Danni From The Block

For about a month or two, I've been promising Danni a photoshoot. But since I've been working crazy hours and she's been traveling all around the world, we never had the time for it.

As soon as she heard that I was leaving to Lincoln, Nebraska, she reminded that I still owed her that photoshoot we've been talking about. So sure enough, I said, "Danni, I only have time on Friday. Take it, or leave it". She took it. Friday came around, I picked her up, and we started to shoot.

Now there's something you should know about Danni, she always has something unique to show in pictures. I think its her creativity that shows the most. In fact, Danni and I are so alike. We are into music, art, singing, photography, etc. On top of that, we are both photographers. So you can imagine the ideas we got on our photoshoot.

And best part of the shoot, I got to use her Canon EOS 5D Mk II and a 50mm. Boy was I excited; like a kid in a candy store. But the bottom line is, we had lots of fun and we tried to step out of the box and capture something new. And I think we did.

Save Darfur

A couple of weeks ago, one of my now friends messaged me in Facebook, asking me to do a photo shoot. A photo shoot that would support a charity called "Save Darfur", that would bring peace for all Sudan, protection of civilians, and justice and accountability for the crimes committed. On top of that, we had to represent the clothes and brand name of "Urban Outfitters".

With that set in our minds, we decided to choose backgrounds that I was familiar with. We headed to downtown Sacramento and started walking. I swear, we walked about 5-6 blocks in between each scene and background. But I think we got some amazing shots and I hope my dear friend Elishia is satisfied with the results.
